The Kingsley Bate Chelsea and Wainscott Teak 9-Piece Dining Ensemble pairs an 85" Wainscott teak dining table with two Chelsea teak dining armchairs and six Chelsea teak dining side chairs, all in solid teak.
About the Chelsea Collection:
The Kingsley Bate Chelsea Collection is a solid teak collection with a classic transitional design, generously proportioned to suit a broad range of architectural styles. Its dining chairs, bar chair and bench have ergonomically curved slats on the seats and backs, while the deep seating and sectional seating pair sling seat decks with extra-thick cushions. The collection includes a dining armchair, dining side chair, bar chair and 4.5' bench, a deep seating lounge chair, swivel rocker lounge chair, settee, sofa and ottoman, and a modular sectional of armless chair, corner chair, left and right arm settees and sectional ottoman.

The Kingsley Bate Chelsea and Wainscott Teak 9-Piece Dining Ensemble is made from solid Grade A teak throughout, with a Wainscott table built with mitered corners and mortise-and-tenon joinery. Kingsley Bate rates the teak frames as suitable for diverse weather climates, including salt air, rain and snow.

Care & Maintenance
New Teak Furniture: Teak is rich in natural oils, and some may surface during the first few rainfalls or humid days. This is normal and stops once the teak begins to weather.
Weathering: Left outdoors, teak weathers to a silver-gray patina, usually within nine to twelve months. Small surface cracks ("checking"), a slightly raised grain after the first rains, and water spots are normal. They're cosmetic and even out over time. To keep the golden-brown color, apply Kingsley Bate Teak Protector each season.
Cleaning Teak: Rinse with a garden hose (never high pressure, which can erode the wood). Scrub with a soft bristle brush and a solution of 2/3 cup laundry detergent (or 1/4 cup high-efficiency detergent) and 1/4 cup bleach in 1 gallon of warm water, then rinse thoroughly. For tougher stains, Kingsley Bate Teak Cleaner removes the patina and restores the golden-brown color. Don't oil teak or use oil-based sealers, which can lead to mildew.
Covers: Custom-fit protective covers are recommended when the furniture isn't in use for long periods. Make sure the furniture is clean and dry before covering it, and remove covers from time to time so the furniture can air out, especially after rain.
Winter Storage: Teak can stay outdoors year-round. If you prefer to store it, use a dry, unheated garage or shed, or a breathable cover. Clean and dry it before storing. In spring, check the hardware and tighten any loose bolts by hand.
