What Is Not Covered:

This warranty does not cover damages from freight/shipping, incorrect assembly, unreasonable/abusive use, acts of God, improper care, freeze damage, mildew, normal wear, fading/stretching/pilling of fabrics, damage from chemicals (e.g., ammonia cleaners, suntan oils), glass breakage, glides, improper repairs, post-purchase modifications, or a failure to provide reasonable and necessary care and maintenance as outlined at www.kingsleybate.com.

Teak wood is a natural material. As such, you may notice checking (small cracks), teak oil secretions, and a lifting of the grain as the wood weathers outdoors. These natural occurrences are not covered by warranty.

Distressed teak furniture is prized for its unique character. Nicks, splits, cracks, knots, and other imperfections in the wood are an inherent part of the furniture design. Finishes are hand applied and some slight color variation is normal. When used outdoors, the finish on painted teak will gradually wear away or flake off, and as it does, the exposed natural teak underneath will gradually turn gray. A painted surface that becomes discolored due to natural teak oil surfacing can generally be touched up or will weather away naturally. By its nature, distressed teak wood planks may be somewhat uneven and may cup or bow over time due to changes in weather. These characteristics are not covered by warranty as we believe that they only enhance the furniture’s natural appeal.

Eco-Teak is made from high-density polystyrene. Slight color variations may result from differences in dye lots and woodgrain distribution. While eco-Teak is highly resistant to fading, over time, some minor discoloration from UV exposure and wear/tear is to be expected. To prevent surface damage, heat resistant pads must be used under hot items (e.g., hot dishes, pots/pans); coasters must be used under glass items to prevent damage from refracted sunlight; and sharp objects that can cause scratches should not be placed on the furniture. Spills (e.g., oil, lotion, grease, food, drink) must be cleaned up promptly to prevent staining. Finish issues attributable to the above are not covered by the warranty.

Aluminum furniture features a durable powder-coated finish. Scratches and chips in the finish, occurring through normal wear/tear and stacking, as well as minor variations in color, texture, or antiquing, and surface imperfections arising from the manufacturing and finishing process, are not covered. Smooth finishes may accentuate the naturally occurring characteristics of the aluminum surface, which are not considered defects. While the powder-coating is designed to be very durable, swimming pool water and residue from salt air must not remain on the finish for too long and must be regularly cleaned from the surface to prevent blistering, pitting and oxidation. Furniture exposed to harsher environments requires more frequent cleaning.
